Folks swarm to South Florida for its weather. No secret there. Our winter is your summer, and more heat means more skin.
Ferociously flying under the radar, at least nationally, are the women delivering the forecast each and every morning.
“The best weather talent in this country is right here in our own backyard,” sang radio host and WQAM Meteorologist Expert Joe “Big Dog” Rose after his 36th cup of coffee. If anyone knows, it’s the Big Dog, who craves his morning weather like no other.
With Julie Durda’s return to the tube, we have ourselves a sexy quartet of women at the major Miami TV stations packing serious heat every morning. Who’s your favorite? (*Vote at the bottom)
Vivian Gonzalez – Channel 7 WSVN
Resume: Charming, kick-boxing beauty who enjoys her Miami sports, and happily joins the Joe Rose Show once a week. Club Viv sets the WQAM airwaves on fire, making quite the splash since replacing Durda last year.
Lissette Gonzalez - Channel 4 WFOR
Resume: The former Miss Florida (Miss American 2nd runner up as well) offers the most versatile skill set of the whole bunch. She gets bonus points for having sung the national anthem at most Miami professional sporting events including Heat, Dolphins, and Marlins games. Wonder if her check from Jeffrey Loria bounced.
Jennifer Reeves – Channel 6 WTVJ
Resume: A fan of the New Orleans Saints and LSU football, former Dolphin receiver Chad Johnson reportedly wants a piece! Reeves is a true southern sweetheart from Louisiana who loves the water. Let’s get wet, Jen!
Julie Durda – Channel 10 WPLG
Resume: Finally we have Durda, who was voted Best Meteorologist in South Florida by The Miami New Times in 2011. The fine print should have said “Tightest Attire”. This former Niners cheerleader also serves as President of the Joe Rose Fan Club. During her Channel 10 debut last month, she described the weather as “warm and sticky”…
